Tomato Weekend
Me: [surveying with no
small pride the tail end of my 21-quart tomato-canning Saturday] Mom,
how many quarts did you can, in the summers when we were kids?
Mom: Eighty-seven.Me: Oh.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~Ms. 4: [smacking lips] I just love urinated tomatoes!
Me: Uh. Er. Ahh -- I love mmmmmarinated tomatoes too, honey!

urinated tomates made me almost spit my chipotle fajita burrito all over. i like ms 4. mostly because i'm the one who came home and announced to the family at the dinner table that octopi had 8 testicles. see? we have a little something in common.
bahahaha. I love what comes out of kids' mouths, man. Urinated tomatoes. I love 'em, too. Look at that picture--tomatopalooza. Mmm! I could eat 'em all day! Pick one off the vine. Or sliced on a sandwich. Mmm!

I did sixty-four quarts one year. If you ever get too many tomatoes, start making Spanish Rice. That can use them up quickly.
I suppose that urinated tomatoes would make kidney stones seem like child's play. I'll stick with the marinated variety, too.
Whew! I've seen small kidney stones & blood clots urinated, but tomatoes? LOL!!! I hope you are staying cool canning all this stuff.

I find mine get outta control TALL, when I plant 'em in compost.
